LAST CALL!
Now are the last moments to apply for the female lead singer position of the internationally acclaimed melodic metal band TACERE.
It’s over a month ago that we announced the singer position open to apply for anyone, and we’ve received a stunning amount of applications from people around the world. The level of the applicants has been high, and now we’ve gone through most of them and will move on to meet some of the best candidates to eventually make some sort of decisions about the matter.
If you still haven’t applied for the position but are interested in becoming a part of TACERE, send e-mail with personal info, recent pictures and sound samples immediately (before the end of June/July) to tacereneedsyou (at) gmail.com as we will make the decision about the new singer very soon.

We are is still looking for a new singer. We have already received a huge amount of applications and we have finally started looking through them. There are already several potential singers, but the application process is still open for anyone, and by sending e-mail to taceresinger (at) gmail.com you will receive more information about how to apply for the position.
The band is looking for a FEMALE singer who has an excellent voice and technique, experience in performing, rock attitude, a suitable appearance, willingness to commit to the project as well as a desire for success. The new singer will naturally also get to record her performance straight away to the upcoming new TACERE album that the band is starting to record soon.

Helena Haaparanta is no longer a member of Tacere. She was an excellent vocalist and performer so this is of course very unfortunate. But the fact is that the ways of Tacere and Helena departed only because of personal reasons and this has nothing to do with the band or its music, or Helena’s skills. As far as we know Helena always loved Tacere’s music and this was a very tough decision for her - one that just had to be done. We wish her all the best with her future musical endeavours.
Because of Helena’s departure TACERE is now looking for a new female singer to fill the position left open by Helena. We are looking for a FEMALE singer who has an excellent voice and technique, experience in performing, rock attitude, a suitable appearance, willingness to commit to the project as well as a desire for success. The application process is open for anyone (and singers of every style are welcome to apply). Despite of the vocalist situation we will start the recordings of our new (2nd) album at the end of May this year at Astia-Studio, Lappeenranta, Finland. The recording sessions will continue until late in the autumn and take part in several different locations. The album will be produced by the band’s frontman Karri Knuuttila together with producer guru Anssi Kippo who is known for his groundbreaking work with bands such as Children of Bodom. The album will feature massive orchestrations and 12 new great songs.

THIS IS THE REBIRTH OF TACERE
Tacere has been reborn, and to celebrate this there are new songs in both the Tacere myspace profile and the
Tacere mikseri profile for you all to listen and to download! These are demo versions of new Tacere songs that will appear on the next Tacere album (whenever it will be produced).
So what is this rebirth of Tacere all about?
1. Tacere has broken up with their Finnish record label Suomen Musiikki Oy/SM-Records because of a lack of mutual interests and enthusiasm to take the band to a further level. And so Tacere is now an unsigned band, and looking for a new main label (some of the international contracts are still valid if the band wishes so).
2. The live line-up and atmosphere of Tacere has changed. Tacere now has a 5 member live line-up and the debut performance of this line-up will be on the next gig (5th of March 2008)
3. Tacere has a plethora of new superb songs that have a bit different style than the songs of the first album. Debut live performances for these new songs will also be on the next gig (5th of March 2008)

We have redesigned our myspace site. Check out the new site from here! Also It's our pleasure to announce that both the band and our Japanese label have been positively suprised by our good sales in Japan. Our debut "Beautiful Darkness" e.g. held top-30 positions in both Tower records Pop/Rock sales chart and HMV Pop/Rock bestsellers chart and #3 position in HMV's HM/HR (Heavy Metal/Hard Rock) bestsellers chart on the first weeks. This is a very good start!

Today our debut album "Beautiful Darkness" is finally out in Japan. Let's see what happens. Also some new reviews have been added to tacere.net (metal archives and vampster). We also got a very high score from the biggest Japanese metal magazine Burrn! magazine, but unfortunately the review is not available in online format so we can't add that.

Tacere has signed a deal for Japan and Asia with the Japanese record label Marquee/Avalon. Avalon, the label owned by Marquee Inc. is one of the most respected and probably the largest Japanese metal only label.
Other artists released by Avalon include Megadeth, Type O Negative, Edguy, Sonata Arctica and Lacuna Coil to mention a few.
The Tacere debut album "Beautiful Darkness" will be released in Japan October 24th 2007, and it will include two Japan only
bonus tracks.

Tacere is now booked as the headliner music performance of the huge Power Park Weekend event next Saturday at Power Park in Ostrobothnia, Finland.

We have secured two gigs for the this far summer: We’ll be headlining the “Kellareista Marskeille” event in Kouvola 14th of June, and then we will be playing the Nummirock festival saturday 23rd of June.
There’s still more to come and we’ll announce more gigs and dates for the summer soon.

We just confirmed that our debut album “Beautiful Darkness” will be released in the whole rest of Scandinavia (Sweden, Norway, Denmark) 7th of March 2007 through Bonnier Amigo Music Group. This is great news. We’re also considering a licensing deal offer for US release of the album at the moment.
On other news, due to huge demand on our music video, the bandwith of the server where the video file was held exceeded HEAVILY because of the large amount of download traffic of our music video from the server. So we had to take it out of there… The music video “Deep Tears Of Tragedy” is still available for viewing through YouTube

The Tacere debut album “Beautiful Darkness” will be released 14th of February 2007 and the album release gig is held at the Finnish metal expo 2007 event, saturday 17th of February at Kaapelitehdas.
Tacere starts playing at 7 pm (19:00)

We just secured a couple of new gigs for the end of this year. Tacere will be playing with the UK legends Anathema on their Finnish tourdates in Tampere 28.12. and Jyväskylä 29.12.
We have lately also been working on a new video for a song called “Deep tears of tragedy” (found on the next years full length album). Just yesterday we finished the last shooting sessions, so the video is now in the edit stage and will be ready before the turn of the year.
There’s also a couple of reviews out on the “A voice in the dark” MiniCD and they are posted on the “Tacere” section

The release of the EP has been postponed and the title has been changed from EP to minialbum to make sure that it gets the promotion that it needs. The new release date for “A voice in the dark” minialbum is 1. November 2006. There will also probably be a possibility to purchase limited amount of those minialbums one week in advance. Hello everyone!
I just came back from the mastering session of “A Voice in the dark” EP. The mastering was done with Svante “the master of mastering” Forsbäck at Chartmakers as usual and the CD will hit the stores during September.
The new EP has 5 tracks (21min total), and each and every one of them is rare special material that will not be found on the forthcoming album. Tracklist:

Tacere will open up the Tuska Festival playing at the Tuska Warm-up at Tavastia, Helsinki Thursday 29.6.2006 instead of Entwine who had to cancel. Other bands participating are Before the dawn, Manitou and label mates 45 Degree Woman.

The release of the full length album “Beautiful darkness” has been postponed, and the album will not be released until the very beginning of 2007
Meanwhile Tacere will release an EP called “A voice in the dark” which will incluide the title track plus a load of bonus songs that will not be included in the full length album.
