TACERE is a new Finnish diverse melodic metal band with both female and male lead vocals. From huge dramatic episodes to touching melodies, catchy choruses and heavy riffs TACERE has found a way to combine the best parts from different metal sub-genres, combining them together into a new unique and original melodic metal sound. The band has been compared to other metal acts such as THERION, NIGHTWISH, DREAM THEATER, WITHIN TEMPTATION and SONATA ARCTICA to name a few, but it is very clear that this band follows it's own distinctive path. Starting up originally as Karri Knuuttila’s solo project in 2002, TACERE's long awaited debut album "Beautiful Darkness" was finally released in February 2007. This heavily orchestrated grand piece of metal that took several hundreds of audio tracks and months after months of recording is produced by the band's front man Karri Knuuttila together with producer guru Anssi Kippo who is probably most known for his groundbreaking work with the band CHILDREN OF BODOM. The core competences of TACERE are the diverse and passionate musical experiences and highly energetic, critically acclaimed live performances that the band is more than able to deliver every single time.

At this very exciting moment of time a new generation of Finnish music is being created, and for the first time in history bands from this tiny, cold and dark northern nation are born straight into the global music markets, and TACERE is a strong part of this movement. Following the path of pioneers such as HIM, THE RASMUS, NIGHTWISH and the recent Eurovision song contest winner LORDI, who brought Finnish music into the attention of the rest of the world, it has been very clear since the beginning that the goal of TACERE is to reach the ears of music listeners all around the world. The band has already received fans and radio play around the globe and the debut album has been released in several countries including Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Russia and Japan. And these are only the first small steps on TACERE's path to join the Finnish musical success stories' hall of fame.
